"Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:6
When our lives feel out of control, it can be easy to cling to worry. We anxiously wait for the final outcome.
We're filled with questions, when what we really seek is answers. Will our spouse hurt us again? Can our marriage be saved? How will this change our family? Can the trust within our marriage be repaired?
Worry makes us slaves to fear. It keeps us locked in a downward spiral of increasing darkness.
I speak from experience, leaning on our own understanding does not help. When our marriage was falling apart, I was not thinking with a clear mind. I was brokenhearted and thinking in survival mode.
Thankfully, God wants to relieve us of our worries. He wants us to pray to Him, letting Him take control of our situation.
Prayer and worship to God, through Jesus Christ, gives us access to the full resources of His Kingdom.
God can always be trusted, even during a time when it feels difficult to trust others. He loves us fiercely and will provide an outcome that is beneficial to us and in line with His will.
Let's cast worry aside and spend today rejoicing in His love, protection, and provision for our lives!
